An Ode to Beau…

Please stop by the North Belt location Saturday as we celebrate Beau’s 85th Birthday with cake from 10th St. Baking Co. Here’s an original poem by his Granddaughter Leah expressing how we all feel about him…

For ever fifty years my grandma Mildred was his wife
They had two sons, two daughters, and a wonderful life

He’s one hard working man, nobody can deny
Just watching him stay busy makes you want to sigh

For more than fifty years he worked at Granite City Steel
He supported his family and never let them miss a meal

Now he’s at Farmer’s during regular business hours
You can probably find him outside around the flowers

Beau gets many requests from customers and friends
He’s probably still around helping when the day ends

If you need help with something Beau is your man
There’s no task too small, he’ll help whenever he can

It’s hard to believe he’s turning eighty-five
Happy Birthday Grandpa, you really know how to thrive!

A Feast for your Eyes!
